In 2005, I was a simple lawn care helper as a second job, while working full time as a lab tech. After 2 years, my part time lawn boss offered to give me the referrals that he was turning down. In 2 years, I grew to mowing 38 lawns, working with him part time, and working full time as a lab tech.
“It was then that I meet my wife… and something had to give.”
At that time, I decided I was going to be the “normal average guy” who worked his 9-5, came home, and hung up his hat. So, I downsized to maintaining just my close neighbors’ homes. We got married, and started having a family right away. We decided that we didn’t want to have the expense of daycare and that I would mow lawns around my wife’s work schedule. Word of my quality lawn mowing services spread, and my business grew quickly. Then, it seemed my wife and I never saw each other. We were “passing ships in the night.” That’s not why we got married! We were determined to find a wonderful daycare, and we were eventually able to finally grow my dream into a full time business!
